In cobbled Cambridge: eggs, bacon, fruit, grains, naans and the very best Bombay spice. We’re a top breakfast spot on Trinity Street (behind a yolk-yellow door). Join us for a fresh-faced week-day meeting or lazy weekend brunches, every day, until 11.45am.
Fill your morning cup with Wood St Coffee (it's really good, and roasted by local friends). Freshly baked Breakfast Naan Rolls with best drippy fillings: eggs, bacon, sausages (top veggie and vegan options too). Akuri Pau and spicy Chicken Keema are delicious Bombay staples. Or go light with seasonal Fruit & Yoghurt.
Bottomless chai for sip-sip-sipping. Cocktails, possibly a cure for the night before (bottoms stay on).
Free range eggs from St. Ewe – an award-winning family business – with crackingly rich-and-runny yolks. Streaky bacon from Ramsay of Carluke, matured in the traditional Ayrshire way, then smoked over applewood and beechwood chips. Pork sausages from Maynard’s Farm, or vegan ones from Symplicity (both top dogs).
Good ingredients, from good pals.
Permit Room is mostly for walk-ins – but we do hold some tables for reservations. If you’re with a big party, it’s best to book in advance (you might be spread across some close-together tables). After the kitchen has closed, come for a late-night drink and snack (walk-in or book).
