Drinks shake up the spirit of Permit Room. Brunch, lunch, dinner, late: expect crackingly-good cocktails. They pack a punch (voted ‘Best Cocktails’ in Brighton at the BRAVO awards) and tell the tales of Bombay’s rich history of revelry.
A full on feast? Or nibbly bite. Our bar snacks and picky-bits are perfect with an ice-cold Thums Up Sazerac. Burnt orange with the sun: sip on the Summerhouse Negroni, a boozy break to Northern India’s hilltop apples (with apricots too). Teetotals stand tall. The Sober Negroni or No-hafta Colada, made with pride (and teetotally delicious).
Swing by. Cocktails in central Brighton that hit the spot, every sip, every time.
Thursday Nights – Vinyl Night. Come for a beer, bite, boogie. Local DJs spin worn vinyls and favourite grooves. Upstairs – the Aunty Bar: a cosy-brick style rooftop bar. Book a spot. Bring a crowd. Unwind.
Permit Room is mostly for walk-ins – but we do hold some tables for reservations. If you’re with a big party, it’s best to book in advance (you might be spread across some close-together tables). After the kitchen has closed, come for a late-night drink and snack (walk-in or book).
Our Aunty Bar roof terrace is bookable during the warmer months (when it's not raining) – just leave us a note when making your booking and we'll do our best to save you a spot.
